Step 1

Heat 250 ml of milk in a small pot with the lemon peel and the cinammon.

When it is almost boiling, remove from fire and let it stand for 20 minutes.

Remove the cinnamon and the lemon and strain the milk in a larger pot. Set at low-medium fire and add the sugar.

In a separate container, add the remaining milk along with the cornstarch. Combine both containers passing the milk with the cornstarch through a strainer to avoid lumps

Step 2

Leave the pot at fire for 30 to 40 minutes or until it turns gelatinous. You can check it up tilting the pot and if the dough returns little by little it means it is ready

Take a mold for chocolates or brownies. It is recommended to use a silicone mold to remove the pieces easily. In case you use a regular mold, remember to grease it.

Pour the mixture in the mold, filling all the little squares and put it in the refrigerator for 3 or 4 hours.

Step 3

Unmold each piece and cover them with cornstarch followed by the whisked egg so you can fry them. Meanwhile, heat the Sabrosano oil in a pot.

Fry each of the pieces until they take a golden color and flip them just once.

Once you are done, remove excess oil with a paper napkin.

Step 5

In a deep container, mix the sugar with the teaspoons of cinnamon. Cover each piece with the mixture and serve.

You can use condensed milk to taste to accompany

  • 1 egg
  • 100 gr of sugar
  • 500 ml of milk
  • Mold in form of squares
  • 2 tablespons of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1 can of condensed milk
